My 23-Year Fight for Justice – A Father's Story
My name is Zbigniew Żbikowski. I am a police officer and a father, and for 23 years, I have been fighting a lonely battle against a system that took everything from me. This is not just a blog. In 2001, a single, unlawful document issued by a state agency (the National Criminal Register) cost me my career as a director. This was legally confirmed by the Polish Court of Appeals (case no. I ACa 1136/06), but the acknowledgment of this wrongdoing came without any real justice. The financial ruin that the state engineered for me became the primary argument in family court, which stripped me of my parental rights. As a consequence, I lost my only daughter for 25 years.
